Hedge Roses

Darlow's Enigma with a few wild Virginia roses (pink) peeking out. DE was a 'found rose'. No one knows exactly what it is but the fragrance can carry clear across the yard.

Wild pink roses. Not the dreaded multiflora, a terrible invasive around here, but native Virginia and Carolina roses.

  1. I wanted to share some uses for those rose petals with you! Maybe you already use them? If not, here's some good recipes for Rose petal jam, rose petal Soap, rose petal beads, Potpourri, and more... For anyone who doesn't spray their roses with chemicals these recipes are wonderful.
